The survey that the Singapore Life Panel® (SLP) participants complete each month allows our research team to consistently gain new insights into the economic, social, physical, and mental well-being of older Singaporeans.
The monthly survey that the Singapore Life Panel® (SLP) participants complete allows our research team to consistently gain new insights into the health, expenditure, quality of life and well-being of Singaporeans.
The following is an overview of what happens before and during each wave of the monthly survey:
ONE MONTH BEFORE SURVEY:
- The research team develops the survey questions for the upcoming wave. These questions are translated into various languages, then tested for accuracy.
- The operations team makes logistical arrangements for face-to-face interviews with participants who do not have internet access or are not internet savvy.
DURING THE SURVEY PERIOD:
- Invitation letters with details of the survey portal link are sent out at the start of the month. For participants who have successfully completed the previous month's survey, vouchers for these completions are included with invitation letters.
- During the survey period, which typically lasts three weeks, the operations team sends out notifications and makes phone calls to remind participants of the start and end dates of the survey. This ensures active participation on a monthly basis.
